So…here we are back in Dayton for college drop off. My wife finds this place online and we’re always up for an adventure. Can I tell you I love this place and it’s something I longed for as a place I wanted to open years ago. The owner (Justin) did that during Covid and has built a fabulous business and his staff all seem very happy and dedicated to the business as it was really hard to know who the owner actually was. It’s a must for locals as well as anyone that is in town for whatever reason. Highly recommend you visit the Salt Block Biscuit and I promise…you will not be disappointed. The lemonade was delicious, the biscuits are scrumptious…just everything was a delight. We left with a box of goodness…see photos!

Salt Block Biscuit Co. is probably the best brunch place in Dayton . I’d even go as far as to say the it’s one of the top restaurants in Dayton period. With their small town cafe aesthetic they pack a lot of flavor in each of their dishes.Sweet honey on the Lox is my favorite dish to get because of how well the pickled beets contrast to the sweetness of the honey on the smoked salmon. They also have varying teas to choose from that are very refreshing. I couldn’t recommend this place more!

Wow! Just Wow! I am a bit of a biscuit snob and made an out of the way stop based on recommendations. This place did not disappoint. From service to atmosphere it a jewel in Dayton but the real star of the show is the biscuits! Yum!

Justin and staff are all amazing! I live 25 minutes away and the drive is well worth it! Today I had the Coastal Crab Dip with Cheddar Bay Biscuits, Sweet Honey on the Lox and Smoked Salmon Hash. Everything was delicious and probably the best biscuits I’ve ever had. Don’t forget about their desserts, I haven’t had a bad meal here. Keep up the great work!!

I am so happy my husband found this beautiful and unique place downtown for lunch. I loved the atmosphere and the ladies behind the counter were so friendly. The food we received was absolutely delicious. The different flavors of my dish danced around on my palette and it seemed like there was always something new with every bite. We got some blueberry cobbler to go and we are definitely looking forward to enjoying that later. Yes, the prices are higher but so worth it as it's not every day you find a hidden gem like this that makes food from scratch AND amazing! Keep up the great work.

This establishment was truly remarkable!I eagerly anticipate my next visit.I ordered the Early Bright sandwich, which was exceptionally delectable. I also indulged in a side of roasted parmesan rosemary potatoes, which were equally delightful. The freshness and quality of the ingredients were truly commendable!I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience.

This restaurant is a must try! The food is absolutely amazing and made from scratch. We tried the blueberry cornbread to start. It came served with handmade butter and warm. Perfect combination of sweet and salt and the little bit of crunch from cinnamon sugar on top, yum! We got a slice to take home for later. The Caesar Salad is the best I have had in a long time. The use of cheesy biscuits instead of croutons makes this salad so special. We each got a different entree: Smoked Butternut Squash Lasagna, Tomato Caprese Salad, and Orchard Chicken Salad. It was all amazing. I’m pretty sure there is nothing on the menu that isn’t delicious. Hats off to the chef! We will be back!

We were visiting from Canada and this was such a good find as our first stop of the day to fuel up ! Delicious and hearty, the cafe is soooo cute and the atmosphere was super good. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable about their menu items and specials so we really were able to try a lot of things.We started with the daily cornbread, which was cheddar thyme with fresh butter. We devoured this therefore no photo. For drinks I had the iced vanilla almond latte and my friends had the house coffee and strawberry cucumber mint infused water, all has free refills and was delicious. We all got so many refills.I got the corn chowder biscuit with the cheddar thyme biscuit with side of smoked bacon. My friends had the biscuit and gravy with everything biscuit with side potatoes and BLT biscuit with buttermilk biscuit and side soup of the day which was shrimp and rice. Everything was so good and the biscuits were so moist !!! I ended up getting two to go to bring back to Canada with me. We finished with a side cobbler that has already been half eaten by the time I took the photo but was delightful and decadent!!Definitely will be back if I visit Ohio again :)
